Is there any other way? I don’t have a computer.
My 86 year old mother was diagnosed with central and obstructive sleep apnea in 2018 and has been using an ASV machine ever since. This morning, I found her 3 times within 2 hours with the Brevida mask on her face but the machine was not pushing air. It’s as if the machine decided that she was awake and no longer wearing the mask. Does this mean that the machine is not working correctly or is she holding her breath so long that the machine thinks she’s no longer sleeping? I don’t know what to do about this. Thank you for your help!
I have been using the Resmed Airsense Autoset for Her for a little over a year and I use the Brevida nasal pillows mask. I wake up at least every two hours every night with a dry mouth and needing to go to the bathroom. My numbers always show an AHI of less than 2...usually less than 1. Disrupted sleep is causing me to feel very tired all the time. I have problems getting sleepy enough to go to bed. Is frequent waking a common issue with cpap usage or does it indicate some changes are necessary in my therapy?
Unfortunately, her primary doctor referred her to a clinic that does not have a doctor who sees patients. They only conduct the studies. Her primary doctor is useless with this issue. Her neurologist wanted to try reducing her pressures but changed his mind after seeing her sleep study which revealed just how bad her apnea really is. I don’t know what to do at this point. Any mask she tries practically blows off her face when the high pressures begin. Her machine is set on auto.
My 80-year old mother was recently diagnosed with obstructive and central sleep apnea. She began using the Resmed Air Curve ASV on September 24, 2018 and I believe her highest pressure is 25. We’ve tried AirTouch F20, Simplus, and Amara View with little success. They all leak horribly, disrupt her sleep, and her AHI ranges from 10-13 on a regular basis. Some have been as high as 16. Her DME has become disinterested since we tried the third mask but I am very concerned about her AHI. Can anyone help me with this? I’m at my wits end.
