Does anyone have a cpap without the heated hose? I have Multiple Sclerosis, and the heated hose causes my core body temp to go up which is a problem with MS..frustrated. It is time for a new machine and I think it's going to be difficult to find one without the hh. I have an old hose I'm using on my cpap now and have had to stop filling the humidifier..waking up so dry..with water in the humidifier I am getting horrible rainback.

Any machine currently available can be used without a heated tube (as far as I am aware). Just because they sell them doesn't mean that you have to use one. If you are experiencing rain out then turn your humidifier down. There should be some level at which it will not rain out. Also, you should be able to turn your heated tube down as well. You may be able to find a setting which reduces dryness without the excessive heat. Otherwise sleep with a bottle next to your bed I suppose.

Rainout can be reduced if you loop your hose over a bed post or some other like thing. I have a couple Resmed machines and I am pretty sure the heated hose can be operated non-heated. I have never tried heating one of the heated hoses. If your mouth is dry, perhaps your mouth is open at night. Would need to know what type mask you are using and what the leak rate is. I have found that using humidity doesn't do much for me but keeping my mouth shut does.
