I'm relatively new to CPAP therapy, today marks 3 months. I'm definitely feeling better and getting better quality sleep, but I feel it could be even better. I use a Pilairo nasal pillow by F&P with a ResMed 10 CPAP machine. I went through 8 different masks during my second sleep study and this is the only one that worked for me. It had been working great and I've gotten a new nasal pillow each month. I'm actually due for a new frame and hose which arrives next week. My issue is that while sleeping over the last 2 weeks the pillow pops off the bottom of the frame and I wake up with a big gush of air on my top lip. It's not consistent though, it happens typically 5 nights out of 7. I wash all my gear once a week in water and wipe it down daily. I've tried various pillows (I have 3 currently) to see if one is bad but I experience the same issue with each of them. The headgear is tight enough and I don't have any issues with it coming off. The first pop off typically occurs about 2-3 hours after turning on the machine. I ramp up the airflow and reach my prescribed level at 45 minutes. Some nights I'll pop it back onto the frame and then I'm fine. Other nights (like last night) it popped off 3 times and the 3rd time was only an hour after the 2nd pop off. I can't figure out any rhyme or reason between the different pillows or washing with soap vs. wipe down.
I'll add that I sleep either on my side or on my back and I don't move around when sleeping
It's really difficult to get to my HME provider b/c I have to take time off work to do so so I figured I'd start here and see if anyone had any clue what is causing the issue and how I might stop it. I'm dreading having to find a new mask since I tried so many the first round. Up until a few weeks ago I had zero leaks and it was working great.
TIA

Can you call your provider to see if they have any answers? It seems like we just get something to work and then it goes to pot. I hope you get some answers but I would start with your provider.
