Hi guys looking for suggestions on how to avoid welts from my straps. I use the Phillips amara view which I really like. But every morning I wake with big welts across my cheeks which take 3-4 hours to go away. They don’t appear tight I can easily slip my fingers under them. I’m sick of going to work looking like i have been up all night participating in some weird fetish.
Welts or depressions? Welts would suggest a contact dermatitis. Good hydration helps with depressions. Even if tension is just right on the straps, if you sleep on one, it will leave a mark.
This issue is of no real concern to me but for those who are concerned about their appearance I would advise that they own a selection of masks with significantly different support and strap configurations and cycle between them on a weekly or monthly basis.

There is a product called "Pad-A-Cheek" that has worked great for me. I am in the cosmetics industry so that has been a large issue for me. https://www.padacheek.com/
Additionally, if you or anyone has concerns about their straps causing friction on their hair, you can use a 100% silk scarf to wrap around the straps of the mask to protect your hair.
I use a ResMed AirFit P10 w/nasal pillows. To prevent the head strap from making deep depressions in my face...I purchase 100% cotton oval makeup/cleansing pads. The oval pads are large enough that I cut one pad in half and use the halves for a week or more. The inexpensive product is called Swisspers premium ovals. They come 50 in a pack and I purchase them at Walmart in the isle where you'd find other types of makeup/cleansing pads.
