I failed using CPAP 2 years ago due to nasal mask issues. Just started again. Got a mask that covered nose and mouth from sleep study but it makes my face break out. So ordered a nasal/mouth mask that goes under nose. It wont hold a seal. The CPApP machine doesn't register it but I get hissing in various places, air in eyes and any number of leakage issues and the rash albeit in a smaller area. So I went back to the second mask mentioned and coated my skin with vaseline (AMA) since I have to comply with so many hours. While it works better, one of the reasons I went on CPAP is because my shoulders are breaking down from sleeping on my side and foreward for many years. Well I still snore on my back. Pressure is 7. I am more tired than ever. I am returning undernose/mouth mask tomorrow but have no idea what to do. I have Fibromyalgia with touch sensitivities and know a chin strap will not work. As it is I am sore from the straps even though they are only as tight as necessary. Yet I am willing to tolerate the soreness and headaches if it helps. So tired, so frustrated.
I have leg cramps, not RLS. However someone suggested that I put a soap bar (I use a hotel soap) in my bed between the sheets in the foot area. It helps me some but it eliminated Hubby's RLS which was aggravating my sleep issues with his kicking around all night. No idea why but it helps.
