I have asked ResMed, but so far have only received a "these are the options; ask your doctor" answer.
(My doctor, needless to say, does not know what ResMed's particular options mean exactly)
BTW, the Fisher Paykal oral mask is not new. It's been available since at least 2011. It's definitely not for everyone, but has been wonderful for me.
My new AirSense 10 has a mask type setting with options "Full Face", "Nasal", and "Pillow".
What does this control?
I actually use an oral mask (the Fisher Paykal Oracle 452) and don't know which setting to use, or even if it makes a difference. (I can't really see any difference in the machine's behavior with the different settings).
Is there any way to export daily leakage data from Sleepyhead.
(It shows the info in its graph, but it does not seem to be in the exported data files).
Thanks. Your advice makes good sense, and I do intend to follow up on the underlying issues.
But, my immediate question is why I am seeing such different results with the same settings on two different machines.
After five years on a Weinmann APAP, I have just moved to a new ResMed Air Sense 10.
I'm getting completely different numeric results:
Is it normal to see such differences between machines? Or might this mean that something is wrong with the sensing or settings on the new machine?
