@barbz, That's well thought out.

The Contour pillow now takes the place of one of my pillows. I sleep on my side, so I have another regular pillow under my torso and another small one between my knees. The one between my knees alleviates some issues I have with my lower back.

Thanks for both responses. At this time I don't have a screen shot. Although, my daily report (ResMED AirSense 10 up loads a report to the manufacturer servers) shows I have 3 - 5 events per hour.

I've read where many people like it. I've never tried it, but both are free and worth a try.

You are correct, I should have been clearer. When using my CPAP machine, and when I had my sleep study, something called 'events' are tracked. Most obviously these are the times when I stop breathing. I may have 3 or 4 or more during the night. I'm asking for the specifics of what an event is - the definition of an event.

This is probably better suited for the doctors and therapists on the board, but...

What constitutes an "Event"? Is there a specific line where above is an event - below isn't.

Always glad to help. My problem with MyAir (the online version) is its lack of specifics. For example, I had 3.3 events last night. That must be an average of something, because how could I have a .3 event.

The other day I took the plunge and bought a contour CPAP pillow. As we say here in the South, I hemmed and hawwed about it. $50-$60 for a pillow, in my estimation, is a lot of money. But, as it turns out, I couldn't be more pleased.

I'm a side sleeper. I needed a pillow that doesn't push my mask off when laying on my side.

My standard bed pillow, even the firm version, was poorly designed for me. Googling I discovered the Contour CPAP pillow from a company in Charlotte, South Carolina. Their pillows have construction making the pillow firm yet comfortable. In addition, it has oval notch carved on each side. This allows space for my headgear when sleeping on my side.

I've had the pillow for just a few days, but I really like it. The very first night it felt perfectly natural. So far, I've experienced no problem with leakage due to the pillow pushing my mask to one side. Plus, my ear doesn't feel sore the next day from sleeping on a too hard pillow.

I realize this sounds like a sales pitch and it's not. When I'm impressed with a product, I like to share my thoughts. Since you guys are my "apnea family", you get to hear me babble.

If you're talking about the ResMED AirSense 10, yes there is a way.

As you may know, there is a SD disk inserted into the side of the CPAP. The data on that disk is easily read by the free ResScan software program for Windows PCs. You will need a card reader on your computer. Most laptops and newer desktops usually have them built in.

Just Google "ResScan 5.4.1 download". It will lead you to another message board where you'll need to join to gain access to the program, but that's free too.

I've installed it, it's completely safe and it works great. Let me know if I can help.

By the way, the program should work with any ResMED device with a removable SD card.
