I developed a severe allergic reaction to the straps on my mask. Ended up on Prednisone . Putting a t-shirt between the straps and my head is helping.
WAY TO GO. AWESOME!
They should. I've gone from 77 to 4 in 6 weeks. Give it time. I've actually had energy once again for the first time in years. Can hardly believe it.
Hey, hey, hey. Nice to hear from you. Good thoughts that will help me. I hate going to bed at a regular time!
Hey! Congrats your events are decreasing. That is fantastic.
I have become a fat slob over the last couple of years and a lot of it has to do with eating more and more garbage-sweets and chocolate- to try to get some energy, just to try to function. I believe my appetite will back off gradually, like it did today, the more, the longer I stick with CPAP.
I had my best day today in perhaps years. No naps. No overwhelming tiredness. Can't believe it. Thought I was a goner
I wanted to go that route but I have a medical pro in the family and she told me that I needed a doctor's help to benefit from a CPAP, that there are fine adjustments that need to be made, and proper monitoring of the device while I'm using it are all very important. So, I caved and am glad I did. I wouldn't know what the settings would have to be to get control of this beast. And, for me, it is a Beast.
If I had cancer or something very serious like that, I'd go to the best doctors money could buy. This thing has been a nightmare ! for me, zapping me of my overall sense of well being and my physical ability to get work around the homestead done, etc.
Best of luck with whatever you do. There is hope with these kinds of problems, today. They're learning more all the time. BTW, I had carpal tunnel in both wrists/arms in combo with this disaster and it was a mess.
I have and like my Dream Station with flex, ramp, humidifier, heat and full mask. It sends sleep and machine data automatically to be reviewed.
Good luck. You sound like you feel better. This is so cool that science is making headway in this field. We might feel good again someday. My AHI is coming down and my time asleep is averaging about 5 hours per every 24 hours now, up from less than 4, just 3 months ago.
Beats me. Just discovered that my AHIs without CPAP came to 77 from the study I just had. It dropped big time when they put a CPAP on me in the middle of the test. I don't know how I lasted/functioned as long as I did with interruptions at that rate. Good Luck!
Just got copies of my sleep study results. No N3 sleep period. No REM in diagnostic phase of 217 minutes.
During pressure titration period of 204 minutes REM = 35 minutes.
Just want to add that I think it's cool you are getting help for what appears to be severe sleep issues. Perhaps with use the pain will fade.
