i will just leave the philips sd card alone, use the cheapy. the provider can access info without sd card.
when i remove the philips sd card to upload into oscar, the settings that i have made are displayed. if the philips sd card is then reinserted into the machine the settings reset to what was set originally, min 5 max 20, functions that can be set to auto return to auto.i have to change everything back to what i want. now when i want to upload to oscar i use a generic sd card, leave philips sd card in a draw, settings don't change. all the machine information is up to date using the generic sd card when displayed using oscar.
topspider may have someone with a commonsense approach. i asked my provider to reset the settings of the sd card because the settings i have set return to original when the sd card is replaced. would not do, i now leave sd card out. final comment was re. my perscription,it is weird. works for me,ahi is now 1 ish.
reading comments re. pressure issues. why does the pressures have to be set at 5min 20 max? some say that a sense of suffocating when pressure is low, some complain of constant leaking masks. if pressures were set to eg. min 7 max 14 to start with and monitored over x days then adjustments made. people may actually persevere with using the machine if the pressures are minimising problems associated the use.human nature being what it is,if something is not comfortable, just not going to happen. i believe many machine are sitting idle collecting dust.

i use a dreamstation and found original pressure settings intolerable, disrupted sleep, upto 3 times a night, leaking mask.my sleep study results were ( obstructive 443/ central 2/mixed 7/hypopnea 62 ) now set pressure to min 8 max 11,results according to OSCAR for 30 days.ahi .91 obstructive index.32 hypopnea index .38 clear airway index .21 flow limitation index .36 rera index 1.28. the dreammapper results for 4 mar 2020 are ahi 2.3 total clear airway apneas 5, total obstructive apneas 14, total hypopneas 8. i now sleep all night,no waking up due to mask leaking.
i had the same problem using a dream station. i have changed settings that suit me. pressures are min 8 ,max 11. no more leaking full face mask.since the changes 90 day av. ( ahi 2.4/ total clear airway apneas 5/ total obstructive apneas 14/ total hypopneas 8 ) the provider was not pleased when told i changed the settings. original settings caused many nights of broken sleep, some times awake 3 times. btw,if you change any settings and the sd card is left in the machine the settings will reset to original when used next. i remove the sd card and replace it now and then to retrieve data to up date OSCAR. the pressures i am using were trial and error, many combinations until i settled on 8/11.you can only try if not happy.i now sleep all night. happy
i use a 2018 auto dream station and found the same problem, pressure was set at min 5 now set at min 8. a lot easier to get to sleep.
anyone who has stored their machine in the bottom of the wardrobe because of issues associated with using it,try changing the settings. better to be using the machine in some form than leaving it to collect dust. i found pressure setting of 8min 11max work for me,ahi <3,other results <10. of all the machines sold ,how many are actually unused because people accept original settings the be all and end all only to find using the machine uncomfortable to use and give up. you can only try.
i use a philips auto dreamstation with a full face mask.what i found was the pressure at 18 seemed to be pumping a lot of air into the room, not benefitting me. now have max pressure at 11,only a wisp of air coming from the vent holes on the mask. place your hand in front of mask at 20 and feel the amount of air coming out, then try at lesser pressures and notice the difference.my ahi is generally less than 3. you can only try.
