I am using the Resmed s10 Vauto bipap machine and I don't have any issues like what is being described. Where did you get the machine. Did you get it from Canada? If there is a way to select carriers then you may want to try and connect to a different carrier.
What about a Resmed heated hose? Can that be soaked?
There are machines that are designed for travel. The Air Mini is made by Resmed. The drawback with this machine is that you are limited to using 3 specific Resmed masks with this machine. It does not have a humidifier but does have something that is suppose to put moisture into the air. It is a small filter that you put in a chamber. This machine is not much bigger then a smart phone and could be put into a jacket pocket. I hope this helps.
I maxed out my first machine too and I have been recently moved to a BiPAP as well. My AHI was 104.53 with the O2 levels dipping as low as 61%. I have been on cpap/bipap for less then a month.
I am being put on one because I am maxing out the apap that I was loaned from the clinic. They wanted to get me something with extra pressure in case I need it down the road.
I see that someone has suggested the Fish Paykel Simplus face mask. I am new to Sleep apnea and I am using this one for now. It is a good mask and I don't have a lot of problems with it. Just to let you know I am at around 19.3 and still get some leaks now and then. I don't know how it will hold up at 28. I hope this helps you.
