Hello everyone,
I hope it’s okay to post this here. I’m a 24-year-old female, and I’ve been experiencing something unusual during workouts. When I exhale, I make a raspy, snorting-like sound. I’ve also been told that I occasionally snore a little in my sleep, but I don’t snore during the day.
I recently visited an otolaryngologist, who told me that I have a slightly floppy soft palate. I should also mention that I have GERD and chronic rhinitis, which might be contributing to my symptoms.
My question is: Are there any exercises or other treatments that could help strengthen my soft palate? I’d appreciate any advice or recommendations on this.
Not really. A big question to ask your doctor is does your pallete block your airway while you sleep? That's sleep apnea. Only real way to find out is a sleep study. Ask them about if they think you need a sleep study?
