anyone here has tried switching from CPAP to ASV for central apneas with anxiety involved? I'm wondering if the switch helped with the feeling of air hunger or panic. I sometimes feel like my CPAP is making me worse, especially on anxious nights, and I'm not sure if it's the pressure or something else.
I once had crazy sleep disruptions that felt like I was choking or gasping, and for a while I thought it was central apnea too. Turned out my anxiety spiked every time I tried to fall asleep—like some weird loop. Breathing did feel shallow, especially after I hit a bong bowl to wind down. I started logging everything on app and eventually figured out patterns I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.

guys, I'm the OP, it was stress-anxiety. I think the fact that my father really has apnea just made all harder since I was convinced I had it too. I was in therapy, trying to relax myself, and the issue was solved.
Not saying is the case for everybody, my father has apnea and is unrelated to stress or anxiety. But it seems truly stressful moments can cause it too.
I'm happy to say I'm much better now. I was having a really hard time when I wrote the original post. Thank you everybody who replied, I was getting the answers on my email and I wanted to update the situation.
