I am new to this forum and a Registered Nurse with severe OSA (32/hr). APAP/CPAP does not seem to help. My concern and question is what do you call the "hangover" the next day? The feeling of being brain dead/Hypoxic. Then at times, it actually feels like my brain hurts. My Dr. gave Provigil, but it only makes me more alert and does not help with the concentration or cognition. I have tried Adderall and it is more helpful plus give a little pick me up. Got fitted for custom oral appliances in dental study, but they were so hard it was intolerable to my teeth. Working on weight loss and lowering BP. Also exploring the whole nutritional aspect. Saw a video from a Doc, claiming daily RNA and Magnesium supplementation can "cure it"? Any help appreciated?

When you say that APAP/CPAP doesn't seem to help, what exactly does it do? What is your AHI when on treatment? It is possible that you sleep anpoea is not obstructive. If this is the case then CPAP would be ineffective and some form of bi-level ventilation would be required (BiPAP or ASV).

There is no dietary supplement that can cure OSA, although weight loss can in some cases.
