Hi,

With the size guide, it only gets you to measure your nose and not your mouth, when I done this I came up as a small, but I feel I need the medium after wearing this for a couple of nights now, coz sometimes when I snore my bottom lip tries to fall out the bottom of the mask.

Does anyone know, with the 4 sizes, does the whole Masks come up bigger around the mouth, or is it just the nose part that changes?

Thanks Pat X

Pat, I have no personal experience with this mask, but I have bought a ResMed F20 using the sizing guide they provided. I believe I ended up with a mask that is too big for me. I have looked at that sizing guide chart for the DreamWear and find it quite confusing. For example if your nose length measures small but your nose width is into the extra wide section what mask size do you need? And your example is the same. The cart is based on nose size. What do you need if your mouth is not in proportion with your nose. I guess this all highlights the need to fit each mask to the individual. The nasal pillow mask perhaps do it right. They provide all sizes of inserts in the fit pack version of the mask probably at probably a reduced profit margin. It at least gives you the chance to try each size and use the one that fits best.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I found the guide confusing.

I believe they do a fit pack complete with all the sizes, but everywhere I tried were out of stock until the New Year and I couldn't wait that long as I wasn't getting on with the full face mask I have, and I just needed a good nights sleep.

Oh well guess I'll have to go spend more money to get a bigger size now.

Unless anyone on here has a medium and will swop me for my small one. Lol....

Thanks Pat X

I have been using the DreamWear Full Face mask now for about a week. I've had a similar issue where my mouth opens and I break the seal. I've discovered that a chin strap will hold my mouth closed enough to prevent this from happening. I'm still experimenting what's best, putting the chin strap on first or over top of the mask. My concern is that I won't get the full prescribed pressures if I place it over the mask because it pinches the tubes coming from the top of my head, not completely but possibly enough to change the pressures.

Without a chin strap, my mouth opens slightly and my jaw relaxes back. My mouth being open isn't a problem, that's why I got the full face mask. It's when my jaw relaxes that it retreats back just enough to break the seal.

One last note, when properly fit, the lower section of the mask rests just below my lower lip. I don't know how that compares to the small, large or wide sizes. I was fitted with the Medium frame and Medium mask size from my DME and have been trying to make it work the best possible. The chin strap seems to fix most my issues.

Hope you can find a solution soon...the lack of sleep sucks (experience speaking here).
