I'm using the resmed airsense 10 with an eson nasal mask. The instructions say to wash with soap and water every day. This seams like a big hassle. Is it important to clean it this often?

The hose? I have never cleaned my hose but probably should. I would submerge the hose in a water/vinegar solution I guess. I do clean my mask daily using MILD UNSCENTED hand soap that comes in a pump. Is it necessary? Take the instructions of the manufacturer at their word, I guess.

My sleep specialist recommended using washing up liquid & water on the mask daily & soaking both mask & hose in warm water once a week.

Previously I'd been washing mask daily in foaming face wash, I noticed a big improvement since switching to washing up liquid.

I'd add I work as a travelling sales rep, different hotels 3/4 nights a week so do follow daily washing mask routine. I have a dish brush with built in washing liquid container, it's very quick and easy to use.

When I travel, the biggest challenge is not being able to haul distilled water. Kind of a pain and wasteful to buy a gallon for a one or two night stop so I have been using regular bottled water. I must clean the reservoir well when I return home as the reservoir will have quite a bit of mineral deposits. What do you do when you travel?

I will rinse out a bottle of drinking water, and fill with distilled water. At the end of the trip, I just recycle the smaller bottle. Of course, if I am driving, I will take a full gallon of distilled water; I can always use it when I get home.

I use an old reservoir with bottled or tap water. It's marked and is only used for travel.
