Hey guys, I have been recently diagnosed with mild sleep apnea (AHI 14) and i was given F&P sleepstyle auto for titration... sleeping with it for the first night was rough i had neck pain from the awkward position i slept on, anyways it took me long time to fall asleep and when i woke up i had sharp pain on the left side of the chest and squeezing pressure on my left arm, i thought i was having a heart attack so i went to the ER, they did ekg and chest xray, everything turned out well thank god. Doc said it might have been muscle ache and to comeback if it happens again (didnt happen again) its been 2 weeks now.

so my question is was that normal for first time cpap wearers?

And does anyone know when will OSCAR support Fisher & paykel sleepstyle auto ?

It is quite normal to have a disturbed sleep until you get used to sleeping with a CPAP mask on your face. Not normal to have chest pain though. Sounds like it might have been a positional thing.

Unless things have changed the new F&P SleepStyle was not supported by by SleepHead, and not likely OSCAR either. You could try it and see if OSCAR can read the SD card. When I did my sleep trial with a CPAP it was with the F&P SleepStyle machine. It tried to read the data with SleepyHead but it would not work. The other issue with the SleepStyle is that it can't distinguish between obstructive apnea and central apnea. If you never have central apnea it is not a big issue, but if you do have central apnea the machine can increase pressure in response to a central apnea event, which can make it worse. My suggestion if there is any room to negotiate another machine is to go with the ResMed Auto, and as a second choice the DreamStation Auto.

Hi laad,

I have an F&P Icon and a Resmed S9 and Sleepyhead seems to accept data from both machines.

I don't ask Sleepyhead to access the SD card though.

I copy the files to a folder on my computer and tell the app where to find them.

My recollection is that the Icon data could be read by SleepyHead, but the next generation SleepStyle could not.
