Does anyone know if the Resmed AirSense 10 has a autostart and autostop feature. I am thinking about updating my machine from a Resmed S8 Autoset machine. The autostart features starts when one puts the mask on the unit starts and stops when taken off.

The menu on the AirSense 10 is pretty extensive. I just glanced at the manual, and it suggests that you will only be able to see smart start as an option if the person who set up the machine for you turned it on. So, if you can't see it, take it back to them and get them to give you access to smart start. I don't have a AirSense10 to hand to have a look for myself, but if you have problems, let me know and I can get hold of one to check it all out and give you some advice.

If you do enable the "Smartstart" feature, be aware you will need to have your mask in place on your face and then connect the air supply tubing to the mask and start breathing. To shut it off, it will quit on its own after a bit if you remove the mask or air supply but I find this annoying and just turn my machine off when ready to remove my mask. BTW: Don't think the Clinical Guide is normally made public for fear that a patient will mess with the prescribed settings. Many features on the ResMed machines not available on the top level menu system so it is a helpful guide if you can restrain yourself from modifying things that are prescribed; such as mode of operation and/or pressure settings. These should be discussed with the prescribing doctor (PROBABLY NOT THE THERAPIST).
