I've been using the Airsense 10 for a little over 3 years and never had any problems. Within the last couple of months I will have 2 or 3 instances a month were it appears the machine does not ramp up but goes to a high pressure. This makes it difficult for me to inhale and exhale. Any ideas on what i can do??

Hi PTButler184

Do you only have difficulties when the ramp function seems to not work or is the pressure too high regardless?

Personally I don't use the ramp function but others seem to find it useful.

If your machine is running in auto mode then you might consider reducing the maximum pressure setting.

I don't understand why people with normal obstructive sleep apnea would allow the machine to go beyond a pressure that is comfortable.

I have read numerous accounts, some clearly documented, of automatic machines winding up to unacceptably high pressures for no apparent reason.

The first thing I would do is download SleepyHead and install it on a PC or Mac. You also need a SD card reader. Then copy the data from the AirSense 10 SD card to your computer. SleepyHead will allow you to view your detailed data for each night. You should be able to go back to the nights when you had a problem with pressure and see what happened. You could also post the Daily Report screen here for comments.

What are your minimum and maximum pressures set at, and do you use the ramp function? What is it set at?

Are you using it on auto mode? I just made that switch and the difference has been amazing.
