Resmed Airsense 10 Cellular

I have an older model Airsense 10, bought at the end of 2014. In Paril of this year, it appears that Resmed stop supprting the cellular technology built-in to the older models so now anyone that has an older machine cannot use their online account for results of have the technicians take off reports or update your settings remotely.

My machine is still working fine and there would be no reason to get a new one but it seems that Resmed has planned the obsolence of this model. I would think it would have been relatively easy for Resmed to grandfather the older technology when they were moving to a new standard for cellular reception.

Has anyone else experienced this issue.

I consider the MyAir app next to useless, and the cellular service a potential invasion of my privacy. For those reasons, I use SleepyHead to monitor my results. It is far more detailed and useful. Here are my results from last night. Your need a PC or Mac, and SD card reader for SleepyHead. It works with the AirSense Elite and AutoSet, but not the basic CPAP model.

Resmed and your doctors are selling your data, it is sad but that is modern life. Unless you disabled the cellular connection on your machine, the data is going to Resmed if you use the MyAir app or not. Your sleep center pulls the data down from u-sleep/umbian (ResMed) servers.
