Thanks wiredgeorge. I was just wondering because it seems that My Air makes a big deal about it.
What is the relationship between leak rate and AHI reading? Last night I had a leak rate of 47 l/min and AHI average of 1.3 events per hr. Is that possible?
I have had the same experience with fatigue and I have been on CPAP since Nov. 1. I now consistently score 92 - 100 with AHIs mostly under 4. AHI was initially 25. I sleep 8 to 8.2 hrs per night waking a couple of times for bathroom. So, you would think I am totally well rested. But I am not! I do notice more energy during the day, but at around 3:00PM I get so exhausted I can barelt keep my eyes open. I am 73 years old, work part time from home so I am able to take a 45min to 1 hr nap. I thought after 4 months I should see more improvement. I have an appointment for a fitting at the end of this month. Hopefully I will get some answers. Will keep you posted.
I am using AirSense 10 with Resmed Airfit 20 nasal mask, and have been using it for four months. I still get extremely tired in the afternoon and takeabout an hour nap. Dr. just raised pressure on machine from 9 to 10 so we are going to see if that helps. In the meantime I just read something on the forum about leak rate. My scores on MY Air are constantly 95 to 100 but I do not see anything about leak rate. Where can I find that reading?
Does anyone have the Inspire implant? Or, does anyone know anything about it? Does it work, is it safe, side effetcts, etc. Any cmments would be appreciated.

I had this issue with a regular nasal mask. Was told by provider there is too much mositure in the line. Lower your humidity setting by 1 number.
I have just been diagnosed with sleep apnea and started the treatment 2 weeks ago. One of my sleep issues was that I woke up every hour to go to the bathroom and sometimes could not fall back to sleep. I Have been told that this problem would be resolved by the treatment. But it has not and I still get very tired by afternoon and have to take a nap. My question is this, 'is this usual and how long will it take before I begin feeling fully awake in the am and not tired in the afternoon?
