My normal is to sleep on my back until I go to sleep and then I sleep on one side or the other for the rest of the night. Unless your mask starts to leak excessively, pressure should remain the same in all positions. There is a significant amount of intentional leakage (venting) out of a mask. That is how the machine keeps the air fresh in the mask, and how you exhale. The amount leaking due to the tube rotating should be insignificant in comparison to the intentional venting. The machine is adjusting the pressure all night to keep it correct.

The only issue with sleeping on your back is that in some people that increases the probability of having an obstructive apnea event. However, when using a CPAP the machine should increase pressure to prevent that from happening.

Bluetooth pairing can be tricky. This would be independent from the WiFi data transmission. All I can suggest is deleting the pairing and trying again with the phone close to the A11.

What specific machine do you have? About all I can think of is that FL is a flow limitation. In general they are not as serious as a full apnea event, and they do not factor into the overall total apnea index or AHI. Also in general a CPAP can help with breathing issues when they are being used at night, but do not contribute directly to assisting with breathing issues when they are not being used.

Yes, OSCAR gives you the ability to see what type of events you are having and when they happen relative to what the pressure is. This in turn can help you decide if the pressure settings on the machine are optimized for your needs. With an out of the box setup the machine is not likely to be optimum. And suppliers generally do not want to take the time to look at the detailed data to do much.

I have the AirSense 10 and my comments are based on it. I don't think the A11 is much different. The first point is that the machine has two levels of information stored. One is just summary level which there is an AHI, hours used, and summary leak type data. This high level data is all that is transferred wirelessly and available in MyAir. Much more detailed second to second data is stored on the SD card. That is not transmitted. This data is much more useful and can be accessed with OSCAR if you have a PC or Mac and a SD card reader.

But, back to your question, from what I know it is unlikely that your machine will send data when you are in Canada. If you go to the Clinical Menu you can see the wireless setup. Hold the round knob and the rectangular home key down at the same time for 5 seconds. That brings up the Clinical menu. Rotate the round knob down to the Configuration section, press it to select and then go down to the About section, and press to select. It should tell you what cellular network your machine is setup to use. In Canada I suspect it will not find that network, and I don't know of any way to change that network setting from the Clinical Menu. I suspect that has to be set in the factory or some other way.

But, this said the SD card will save both the detailed data and summary data if you keep it in the machine. It stores the last year of data. So, if necessary you can take that card to your supplier if they give you a hard time about not getting the wireless transfer of data. I would tell them ahead of time that you are leaving the country.

I have the AirSense 10, not the 11. However I am not aware of any difference in the humidity and heated hose features. When you plug in the heated hose the humidity setting should default to Auto, and if not you should be able to set it to Auto. That is where mine is set. And for temperature I set mine at the default of 27 C or 81 F. These settings work fine for me. I do use most of the water but never run out unless I am getting close to 10 hours of sleep.

Some people get relief from obstructive apnea events with a soft cervical collar. They are inexpensive at places like Walmart. They may also work with snoring. They tend to work best when you are getting a whole series of OA events in a row due to your head and neck position. You will see if that is an issue when you look at your data with OSCAR.

You can post your results here for help on what might be going on. With a PC display your daily report graph screen and press F12. Take note in the bottom right corner where the screen shot will be saved. Find it with file explorer and then left click and drag it into an open message you are composing. Use the Write a Reply button to get a full width window to post it. Only post one image at a time. The spam filter here will react badly to multiple images in a post with a new user. Make sure the graph is displaying your pressure, flow and of course the Snore. You can click on the left portion of each graph and drag it up and down to display the graphs of interest.

Assuming you have a machine with a SD card that records your readings (most ResMed and DreamStation ones do), you would be best to download OSCAR to view your results to see what is going on. OSCAR requires a PC or Mac and a SD card reader. It will display your pressure through the night and when snoring occurs.

Standard CPAP machines go up to 20 cm of pressure while BiPAP ones go to 25 cm. I am not aware of other machines which go higher. The first step however would be to confirm with OSCAR what is happening. I believe BiPAP and CPAP machines require a prescription, so you still may have to go to a doctor to get a BiPAP. That would be best in any case to confirm that it will work for you.
