Compact CPaP

I've been using a CPAP machine for about 19 years, luckily only had to different machines. My wife and I are at that age where we like to take long weekends on our bike and are venturing overseas for our vacations. While my current machine is much smaller than my first, it's still large enough to be a pain to pack up and travel. It consumes a lot of room and is cumbersome in the TSA lines.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a "travel size" machine?

Do you use a humidifier with the CPAP? The humidifier is the largest part of the machine. The smallest machines do not have humidifiers.

There are machines that are designed for travel. The Air Mini is made by Resmed. The drawback with this machine is that you are limited to using 3 specific Resmed masks with this machine. It does not have a humidifier but does have something that is suppose to put moisture into the air. It is a small filter that you put in a chamber. This machine is not much bigger then a smart phone and could be put into a jacket pocket. I hope this helps.

there is also the dreamstation go, it is a travel machine no humidifier and you can get a battery for it, hope this helps

The Transcend is also very popular, and I believe a lot less expensive than either of the two mentioned above. You probably can do without the humidifier for the time you are gone. I rarely use humidification myself and I have been using CPAP as long as you! The transcend is the size of a soda can and is perfect for air travel.
