cleaning my mask, hose and humidifer tank

I ordered a Rescomf ozone sanitizer recently. Can I sanitize my mask, hose and humidifier tank by putting them in a plastic tote box with the Rescomf turned on in the box or do I have to connect the hose to the cpap to clean the humidifier tank and do the same for the mask? It would be nice to be able to do them all at once.

I checked out the website. Most of it does not work and just sends you in circles. From what little is there it appears the device is only intended to sanitize the CPAP machine and humidifier by forcing ozone through it backwards. Ozone and water can be very corrosive to metal parts. I would not use this device on my CPAP machine for that reason. From what I can see the device is being sold over the internet directly out of China. Sorry, but it seems pretty dodgy to me...

I clean my equipment the old fashioned way. I use vinegar, then soap and water, and after a final rinse, let it drip dry. I never try to clean the machine itself, only the humidifier reservoir.

Once upon a time I bought some ozone generators out of China and they worked brilliantly for what I needed them to do.

We had a kitchen fire that left all our clothing and linen and carpets and curtains and books and EVERYTHING reeking of smoke! :O

It was simply unlivable but those ozone generators sorted it in a matter of hours.

I had to turn the air blue but it got the job done!

We have used them since to clear the air in storage areas or in midwinter when the place has gotten stuffy.

Apparently they use them here in child care centers and surgeries to sanitize the air and all of the contact surfaces.

Yes there are risks but ozone really does have an important role in the right circumstances.

If I had the above device I would probably be using it to fumigate my shoes or some of the kid's toys but I agree with you Sierra that the CPAP machine is too valuable to risk and there would normally be no need to clean the machine.

The humidifier chamber needs attention from time to time but it usually contains metal.

The hose and headgear might be worth a try I suppose especially as constant washing tends to accelerate their demise.

The actual pillows or cushions or face piece needs water and friction and solvents or disinfectants so it's a bit superfluous to be using ozone as well.

That's just my opinion but the sanitizing machines wouldn't exist unless a lot of people believed otherwise.

I bought a Rescomf Ozone Sanitizer. I normally remove the mask and plug it into the Rescomf machine to clean the CPAP for 30 mins. Then attach the mask back to the tube and plug the other end to the Rescomf machine and put it all in to a plastic box with a lid and let it run again for 30 mins to clean the mask. These Ozone sanitizing machines seems to be widely available and have also seen them advertised on British TV.

Just a note, you cannot sanitize them if you do not clean them first. That info I have is from a microbiologist who works for Big Pharma. There typically is a thin film that needs to be removed with the normal suggested cleaning routine before this type of sanitizer will work.

I have the SoClean2 and I think it's also made in China. Is this the same thing as the Rescompr that OP purchased? So far, the SoClean2 has been great and now I stretch the hose cleaning/pillows to bi-weekly cleaning versus the daily cleaning of the pillows and weekly cleaning of everything else.
