I recently went on vacation and my daughter thought she was helping by packing my cpap machine along with my deodorant, my cpap and all of it components have absorbed the awful chemical smell, its completely unusable.. I have gotten new hose and mask, however the machine itself has that odor pumping straight out of it.. What can I do to make my unit usable again..?!?!?!?!

Have you changed the filter? If your machine has a water chamber, make sure you clean that as well. Try putting some lavender or peppermint oil on a cotton ball and set in front of the filter. Don't overdo the oil but sometimes that can clear out a bad smell from your machine. When I travel, I do this because sometimes where I put my machine will pick up funky odors.

Drop the oil and use Ozium Air sanitizer. Ozium air sanitizing spray is clinically proven to eliminate offensive odors rather than masking them. Originally developed to combat airborne bacteria and germs in hospitals and health care facilities

The things you can learn! I would think the air sanitizer would be the best to use. Try the lavender or peppermint just for the aromatherapy aspect maybe.

There was a domestic product in the supermarkets here called FeBreze that was fairly effective but I've not used it in such a limited environment.

I clean my humidifier reservoir, hose, and mask with pure vinegar first. Next if there are odour issues I use a solution of baking soda and water. That is followed by a wash with Dawn dish soap and water. Last is a thorough rinse with tap water, and hang to dry for 15 hours or so.
