Just bought a Sleep8 CPAP cleaner ... it does a great job ... actually sanitizing the whole thing mostly, because I still have to either wash or wipe out mask.

My problem is that the OZONE odor is pretty overpowering ... even a few days after I use it. And most importantly, the odor is triggering my wife's asthma. I've got to find a way to get rid of ozone smell.

Any ideas ...

I use the Rescomf CPAP cleaner which runs for 30 mins cleaning and then 5 minutes with just plain air to blow away any ozone odours. I have never had any problems after it has completed its job.

I've used ozone generators frequently through the years and never had any issues with lingering odours but maybe some people are more sensitive.

I always thought that the ozone was quite unstable and eliminated itself at the first opportunity by recombining with any available carbon.

Exposure to a flow of air after the generator is stopped should remove residual ozone.

Is it possible that the odour is from some other chemical?
