Hi,
Anyone have experience with sleep repositioning devices, especially SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band?
I have many hypopneas with arousals, primarily when sleeping on my back. Couldn't tolerate CPAP, but that may have been overkill. Tried trying a bolster around my waist, but every time I flipped onto my back, the bolster woke me up. Plus, I ended up sleeping on one side and bugging my shoulder.
I heard about NightShift (by Advance Brain Monitoring), NightBalance (by Philips), and the newest--SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band (also by Philips). From what I understand, the first two let you stay on your back for a few seconds before they zap you, so you can flip from side to side without being awakened.
But what about SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band? It's the least expensive, no app, no dr's prescription required, so I'd like to try it first. But Philips couldn't give me any info on latency between flip-to-back and zap. Anyone know?
Thanks!
No experience, but the zapping part sounds brutal. I just don't see how that would make for a good sleep. I know some people have had some success with sewing a tennis ball into the back of their pajamas to convince them not to sleep on their back. With a CPAP I don't notice any difference in the sleeping position from an apnea point of view. However, I am more comfortable sleeping on my side.
Hi,
Not sure if this answers your question, but . . . Settings > Notifications > "Auto-subscribe when replying to a forum topic. Check this to receive in-app notifications for new replies on a topic on which you left a reply." Mine is checked, but it doesn't seem to work.
Under the orange "Write a reply" button, I see "You may unsubscribe [with link to unsubscribe] to stop receiving updates for this topic. Change notifications [with link to change notifications]." I may be subscribed, but my subscription doesn't work. ;-)
It would seem to me that "in-app" would mean you would have to be using the web page to get the notification. You get a pop-up notification, or the bell in the upper right changes color if someone replies while you are still logged in. Check your email option in settings to see if you have it turned on.
One would presume that if both boxes in notifications are ticked and the authorization box in emails is ticked, that the end result would be email notifications without having to be logged into the forum but I suspect that the email contacts are regarding password changes etc and the notifications are internal highlight functions and at the moment they are not connected.
I've never really watched that bell but I fail to see how it really benefits the forum if it depends on members repeatedly logging in.
Email notifications regarding forum discussions have been discussed previously but I doubt that they have been authorised for this forum as yet.
