Does anyone have the problem of falling asleep before puting the CPAP on?

Hi CPAP Users I was wondering if anyone has a real problem with falling asleep before putting your CPAP machine on. I find that I often only use my CPAP machine about half the time because of this. What do you do to avoid this?

Is this a problem for you or not?

This was a problem for me in the past. Now I make sure I have it ready to go and I do my nightly routine of washing my face, brushing my teeth, and make sure my parts are clean, machine is plugged in, etc. before sitting down to watch tv or read a book or whatever. Then if I feel like I'm tired enough I might fall asleep I go ahead and put it on. Even if I end up watching tv for an hour at least I know it's on rather than falling asleep without it.

My problem is I don't feel sleepy. I just go from watching TV, or reading or listening to music to waking up in the middle of the night or in morning. No warning. Does anyone else have this problem or am I alone? PS. I just found out that there is a solid connection between sleep apnea and Alzheimer's Disease, so how important is having a clock built into your CPAP machine that checks you every hour during your sleeping hours (say 10pm to 7am) and with a nice female voice wakes you up and tells you that you didn't turn your machine on or you need to put your mask on or both?

I haven't had this problem yet, but if there's a time you usually tend to fall asleep, say eleven, you could set an alarm on your phone for twelve or one and just set the alarm to go off everyday that way if you forgot you can put it on or if you did remember just shut the alarm off and go back to sleep!
