The original thread: https://myapnea.org/forum/cpap-machine-won-t-shut-off

For about a week now my machine doesn't automatically shut off after I remove the mask. Smart Start is still set to on.

I checked the software version again, it is still the same as the previous post.

What are the pressure settings? I recall there may be issues with the SmartStart now working well with lower pressures.

Although your suggestion makes sense, It was working fine, this is a recent issue.

I will have to confirm this for a few more nights, I changed the tubing, it seems to be working again. I didn't know the tubing had any sensors, I thought it had a heater and that was it.

I believe the heated hose has a resistance wire to provide the heating, plus a temperature sensor at the mask end of the hose. Don't see how that could have anything to do with it. Plus the SmartStart should work with a none heated hose which has no electrical wiring or contacts.

It is intermittent, it was shutting off after I replaced the hose, now it isn't shutting off again.
