Hey I've been looking into an air purifier recently, having a bit of sleeping issues and it seems to possibly help with that. At the very least it would give me peace of mind knowing the air in my apartment is cleaner. I was wondering though, does it help you sleep even if you wear a CPAP mask every night?

If you have sleep apnea, I would not sleep without the mask. An air purifier is not going to do anything to help with the apnea. I can't say I am a big believer in the value of air purifiers, but they may help with someone suffering from allergies of pollen or something like that. They may reduce the amount of very small particulates in the air of the room.
The air purifier will clean the air in the room, it has nothing to do with apnea.
Two issues. The air purifier will not fix sleep apnea or replace your mask.
I use an Hepa air purifier in my bedroom. In the basement of my house the air quality is not very good. The first night I used a hepa filter in the room I slept better. Indoor air quality DOES make a difference in the quality of sleep from my experience. If there is mold spores or other pollutants being forced into your airway while sleeping for 8+ hours, it well impact your results IMHO. But it does not replace the need for sleep therapy. It can improve it though.
Obstructive or central apnea is treated with PAP to keep airway clear to provide breathing accessibility and filtering air really doesn't enhance therapy . I use a air purifier to drown out noise.
