Pushing for better therapy

Higher pressure did you well but the events came up. However, keep in mind, the higher you go central apnea may creep in... and gas. Your mask leaks are quite a bit high for me and most likely are waking you up. Try and adjust your mask a bit and get rid of the VS2 events, the machine picks up vibrations, hose dragging across you pillow or mattress. If the mask is irritating you nose or anywhere else try some Lansinoh Lanolin cream but very sparingly, especially around your nose, nares. I just ditched my F&P simplus, which had very minimal leaks but I got tired of fighting the hose in my face turning over, and went back to Resmed F30i. I had it before and it had too many leaks, but I learned how to adjust the harness. The dreamwear was worse, but again I didn't adjust well enough, it's basically the same design. Also try and be a side sleeper, as much as you can. How you feel is the main thing. Your flex setting is comfort so adjust accordingly.
Buy a cool vapor humidifier as a back up, and place it near your machine
Sounds like your IPAP pressure is too high. What is your IPAP pressure now? You have an Aircurve Vauto..which is the one I have. I can walk you through it.

Download this software.... and we'll take it from there. We need to see how the therapy is working. Without OSCAR we have no way of knowing.
You have an option to have the machine turn on when you breathe in the mask... it has to be enabled on the settings on the machine. When you wake up the machine has to be shut off manually with the power switch.
An airsense 10 is a fixed set pressure with a ramp start pressure. Do you use this ramp feature? If so, how long do you have the ramp set at? If not, then something is wrong with the unit. DME's suppliers will try and drop the ball, but you have to be alot more stern than you are. It seems your machine is malfunctioning. When you say it turns on by itself and runs unattended? When you start to breathe with your mask on, it senses you breathing and turns on. If this is the case and it runs it's attended then.
Great choice F&P...
My wife sleeps in the other room, she's ok with it. She works over night so I got the queen all to myself. It's only for the week end.
Nasal pillows are alot more quiet, more so than full face. However, then you have to deal with chin straps.
My bad... I didn't see the massive leak rate... what mask are you using? Fix that first and then see where you are.
APAP are really, well, worthless. You need more minimum pressure. You want to prevent events before a ramp up, and more time asleep. Stay on your side as much as you can. Try 8 minimum if you can bear it. If not 7. Give it a whirl for about a week, and bump it up a bit. What mask do you use?
sleep in separate rooms
Definitely down load OSACR and shows us what your machine is doing.

I went from Melatonin 10 MG to a trilayer natural aid from Puritans pride, to almonds, which have more melatonin than melatonin itself? Back to melatonin but at a much lower dose. I buy dissolvable 10 mg dose, and split it in quarters. I started with half of a quarter, then worked up to a quarter. Tonight I'm going to try a quarter and half of a quarter. You might have to experiment wit Melatonin. I generally go to bed at 10 and wake up after 5 hours like clock work with a quarter of a pill, but fall back asleep within a half an hour, and stay asleep till 5:30 am. Try sleeping on your side as much as possible. Also I drink a cup of chamomile tea, along with a light snack before bed. I also wear a blinder mask to keep it dark.
