Spike before CA..... after pressure spike is not a CA.
CA after a normal inhale and exhale is a CA.
I felt like I was suffocating every night.

Most nights I can't fall asleep wearing the mask, but as soon as I take it off, I'm out in 2 minutes.
Wear it during the day.... while sitting up to get used to it.
sounds like you need to get that septum fixed first thing.....
you need to get on a machine and give it time. It takes time to get acclimated. It took me 3 months. Sleeping on your side will help for now. Wear a Tshirt on backwards with small dog toy tennis ball to prevent sleeping on your back. Get comfortable is important.. bedding, pillow, temperature.. etc.
