My main sleep software is SleepyHead. Had a time when I was unable to get a sleep Doctor to accept my insurance so I became very involved with following my sleep. The Motion-x24/7 only has basic sleep info. I use it more for monitoring my exercise.
Anyone download the SleepHealth app? It is a joint effort between ASAA, IBM Watson Health Cloud and Apple's ResearchKit.
It looks like it has a 2 1/2 star rating. It started working nicely. Some tasks seem a bit bothersome, but it has made me more aware of how my day effects my sleep. I am going to keep at it. It is my Health ID app that has stopped importing my steps!
I use Motion-X 24/7 to rate my sleep. Do not keep it by my head, but near my waist. It reads my sleep just fine. It is super for my walks.
Don't just go in and change things! There are clinician manuals out there for your machine, but you need to have a good understanding of what happens and why. I use SleepyHead software so I know what is happening, but I was apart of an forum that guided me. They folded and I think this forum took its place! ...I think!!
DanM has given some very detailed information about how things work just above my post. Also, used the search option to see if a thread has been started regarding your issues.
CPAP is not always an easy journey, but persistence pays off. Watch out for expectations as you may not experience the CPAP result you might prefer all at once. My restorative sleep is not where I want it, but it is a heck of a lot better than where I was before I got my CPAP, now BIPAP.
Doctor had a family emergency so was rescheduled. I need to have a new sleep study done as in my last one, my head was raised about 35 degrees. Thanks for the positive reports! Sure hope I qualify.

My ENT-sleep Doctor is actually in training to do this procedure. He feels I am a good candidate. I will be going across state to Tampa General. I have a daughter there... It will just be the Hello, let me see your studies, data.
Learned my insurance is a good one for approvals! I have to say I am both scared and excited. My first appointment is November 23rd.
Would love to hear POSITIVES COMMENTS from anyone who has gone through it. Do not need the scary ones... I will keep you up to date as I go through it all.
@JenL2015 Familiar with those Alpha brain waves. No solution to share. One thing I am doing, or trying to do, is to meditate before bedtime. I use an app Insight Timer I have on my phone. You can find guided meditations anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Just try some till you find some you like. Make them your favorites.
I also have music and nature sounds that I find relax me.
A product called Lansinoh, for breast feeding mothers, is better for a seal and your skin. It is also better for your mask. Even liners help. I make my own from microfiber cloths I buy at Walmart for under $3. Name is Smudge Off.
