I would like to find a fingertip pulse oximeter (or other device) that can monitor my breathing and oxygen levels at home while sleeping, preferably with Bluetooth. I have a Mac computer, and many devices that I’ve seen work with PC only. Obviously I am looking for an at-home substitute for a full sleep study. Any feedback?
Look at what fingertip oximetry SleepyHead says works with their reporting. They vary from $13-$300. I can't figure out how you get the data into SH and which give a continuous data stream while sleeping. Anybody done this? Can you explain? What model?
I have not done it, but here is a screen shot from the information that comes up when you click on the Oximetery Wizard on the SleepyHead home screen. I think the OP is not using a CPAP so would need something stand alone. But, perhaps SleepyHead could work with just the Oximetery and no CPAP data. Don't know for sure, but it says it will work standalone...
The models listed do import into SleepyHead and soon into OSCAR. While I don't use any of those models there are many at http://www.apneaboard.com/forums that have and can help you

Thanks, Sierra. I've looked up all those devices online. The cheaper ones give a screen report of oxygen saturation, but don't see any way to download data. Higher priced ones seem to give a data stream.
Amended comment - Looked AGAIN and the picture on SH shows the "CMS50D Plus - 24-hour Memory, Data Can Be Stored & Uploaded to Computers With USB Cable, For Home & Sports Use, With Lanyard, Blue" Amazon $33.60. Probably try one eventually.
Another overview device (but no oxygen data) is one I've mentioned on other forum threads:
Wear This Simple Device on Your Finger to Get Complete Assessments of Your Sleep Health + Tailored Tips for Better Sleep . $69
From PCWorld. Worth a look see to me at only $69. I ordered one with 1st time buyer discount(10%) and $2.99 shipping it cost me $65.09 Waiting arrival next week. Amazon's price is $129.
There are a few wrist products like the one below that will track 02, blood pressure, pulse and sleep 24/7 I'm not sure what is available in your area but it might be worth looking.
I see the Wellbeing+ recent $49 price has gone to $79. It's shipped from Australia. My concern is getting the O2 data collected(accurately) and displayed and viewed thru SleepyHead. The free LinkSelf app has many bad reviews for all the equipment. Maybe I'll learn more at the https://sleepshow.org/show-schedule/
The "sleep industry" seems to be growing, but still mostly "trial and error" from the patient's view!
There are a limited number of oximeters that are compatible with SleepyHead. OSCAR's list is likely to grow, SleepyHeads will not.
Contec CMS50D+, CMS50E, CMS50F and CMS50I serial oximeters. (Note: Direct importing from bluetooth models is probaby not possible yet) You may wish to note, other companies, such as Pulox, simply rebadge Contec CMS50's under new names, such as the Pulox PO-200, PO-300, PO-400. These should also work. It also can read from ChoiceMMed MD300W1 oximeter .dat files.
Thanks, bonjour. I will probably get the CMS50D Plus from Amazon for $39.50 after I try the "ring thing". Maybe I'll learn more this w/e at the Sleep Show https://sleepshow.org/show-schedule/
I was recommended to get a Pulse Oxy and I did. I got mine off Amazon for small $$
Zacurate 500BL Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor with Batteries and Lanyard Included (Navy Blue) by Zacurate My whole family now uses it to measure a pretty basic parameter - O2 level - as a basis for if we need to go to Urgent Care. SImple easy and seems functional.
