None of the C-PAP Cleaners are FDA Approved from what I read. Many people have trouble with the Ozone cleaners but the one that cleans using UV may be an option. Most people just clean them as instructed in the manual that comes with your machine.
The automatic setting was a complete game changer for me! You may try that.
I am curious if your situation with your Inspire Device has improved? I have known about Inspire for sometime. I think it may be a good direction for my son but have been anxiously awaiting feedback.
Awesome! Do check back an be an encourager to others! Just curious if you were on C-PAP prior to Bi-PAP?
Thanks, I have not seen that before. Interesting. I don't have dry mouth with my heated hose.
I have been diagnosed for decades and still hate my machine but I keep trying. When you find the right pressure and the right mask and you wake up feeling great, it is sweet. Then there are still nights that I feel I fight the mask all night. Switching my pressure to an automatic setting was a complete game changer for me. If you haven't tried that, I do highly recommend it. You could also look at alternative therapies--dental, hypoglossal nerve stimulation for sleep apnea, positional therapy (Phillips), or weight loss. It is had to compliant when you are so frustrated but I want to encourage you to keep on keepin on.
I would not wait on my appointment in April. I would call your provider now and see if they couldn't go ahead and make some adjustments prior to your appointment. Perhaps they could put the machine on an automatic setting for example. That made a huge difference for me. Then by the time your appointment date arrives, you will be further along than if you wait. My experience is that it does take a long while to find the right pressure and the right mask to get to the place where you feel great in the AM. Keep on keepin on and never hesitate to call your provider to let them know that it's not working both now and in the future.
This is what I heard: There is concern that CPAP machines may aerosolize the virus. This should be addressed by moving to a separate room and even asking housemates not to enter that room for several hours after the CPAP was in use to minimize any virus in the air. Some Doctors may be advising against use of CPAP for those infected as a conservative approach to minimize transmission to others in the household. I would check with your provider for direction in using CPAP with the virus.
