1. Where do I see the RERA events on the Oscar graphic? The summary shows one ( 0.37) but I cannot see it on the graph.
2. Mine is a ResmedAirSense10 Autoset. Now that come to think, why adjusting the pressure settings if if there is an Autoset feature?
3. I forgot how to post the daily screenshot. Can you tell me, please?

I am 80 and I have been on CPAP for about two years. My AHI's went dramatically down around a median value of 0.50/night. Lately I feel. however kind of sluggish and sleepy until early afternoon, even though I sleep about 8 hours . Looking at my Oscar reports, I noticed RERA episodes, every other day, at around a median value of 0.15. I hardly if ever had RERA episodes in the past. My doctor says not to worry about it. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I repeatedly adjusted the min/max pressure settings. They were originally set by my doctor at min 10/max 15. and, looking at the history, there have never been RERA's with those settings. Since last year, I adjusted them to 13-16, 13-17 and lately to 13-18.. The RERA's seem to have increased with the upward adjustments. of the min and max mask pressure values. To day I have adjusted them again to what they were originally ( 10-15). I'll keep an eye on them. May be this was the problem. I wonder if you have any comments.

Thanks this is exactly the point : I am unable to install Oscar on Windows 10 ! As mentioned, I can't even get to creating my ( new ) profile for importing the data. All I get is the error message I mentioned above.

Yes, I do have all the previous data from the SD card, but they are of no use to me . What I really want is to be able to see the new data every day, which I cannot do because Oscar won't install properly. I tried Sleepyhead, It goes in, but the graphs and data summary are no longer there. Only the overall score. . They were there until recently.

I have been using Oscar on Windows 7. Now I switched to Windows 10. I have installed Oscar again on Windows 10 but I can't see how to create my profile to import the data from the SD card as I have always done. AS I click on Oscar to launch it, I no longer get the usual interface asking me to import the data ( from the SD) or telling me to create a new profile. Instead, I get message saying

QUOTE unable to write to Oscar Data Directory c:/users/my name/Documents/. Error code 5. Access is denied. Oscar must exit.. UNQUOTE To begin with, I never asked to write the data to that folder . That messages pops up automatically. Before this message, I also got another prompt giving me a YES or No option which was not clear. I never got it again after that.

What should I do to create a profile to import the data?

I thought, too that the snoring could perhaps be caused by insufficient inhaling pressure in the mask and I slightly increased it from 16 to 16.5. I'll see if it decreases snoring and the hypoapneas. If not, I'll adjust it a little more, by small increments.
I didn't think it necessary to increase the exhaling pressure ( 12cmH2O, the lower value) because it might make exhaling harder.

Hi I am curious about the Snore pattern. Over a month , the score of my snore events in Oscar is between 0.00 and 0.50 in the 95% column. On the surface, it looks O.K., except that if I look at the Snore MAX values column, the readings go repeatedly up to 3 or even 4 during a given night and I noticed that the higher the snore MAX values, also the higher is the number of AHI’s, chiefly OA’s and H. .

I don’t know if snoring can trigger AHI’s or if the reverse is true, but I wonder if a bad snoring score, when it occurs, can itself account for poor quality sleep ( interruptions? wakeups?), because lately I wake up more sluggish than in the past, no doubt also on account of the nasty heat wave that has hit us hard here , but may be there is something else .

I am also thinking of increasing the mask pressure from 12-16 cmH2O, to 13-16. May be this will further clear up my airway, possibly decreasing the hypoapneas, which still frequently occur and which may still affect the quality of sleep, although not as much as OA’s.

I am attaching last night report concerning the Snore events.

Incidentally, after speaking to the clinic, I found that the large leaks problem I had previously reported, was due to a bad adjustment of the mask. I raised it a bit higher on the face by tightening the upper straps and the large leaks have now disappeared.

I am trying to understand the relationship between Flow Limit and obstructive apneas. It may appear just an academic exercise because my therapy has been working well since I first started and O.A.’s have practically disappeared, but it is nevertheless something I want to clarify because I always like to understand things. I submit two daily records, one showing 0.00 AHI’s and one showing 6.05 AHI’s . The Flow Limit patterns are different . On the one showing 6.05 AHI’s the Flow Limit spikes up close to 1, the maximum value on the Y axis, whereas the report with 0.00 AHI’s has a much flatter F.L. profile .Am I correct in understanding that a flatter F.L. profile points to a better sleep pattern in terms of apneas and viceversa?

I received my Respironics Mask liners from Amazon. I put one on last night. A bit uncomfortable at first, because of the thickness of the fabric and also the size of mouth opening on the fabric, somewhat small, I thought. It touched my lips. But I could breathe OK and it didn't bother me during the night. The large leaks were however worse than ever. Practically uninterrupted from 3:30 to 6:30, some lasting 60 min, a few 30 and 40 min, for a total of 46% of sleep time. I don't know if it is because of the liners. I decreased the Ramp setting from 12 back to 10. See how it goes. I'm still not too sure how to read the Flow rate in connection with the LL. . I zoomed it max. THe AHI's are minimal, even by zooming. The Flow Rate waveform goes from +180 to - 120. I don't know what is the relevance of this amplitude.. I think these LL affect my sleep in a subtle way. I don't know if these machines go out of adjustment and need to be re-calibrated. I'll contact the sleep clinic to see if there are adjustments to be made or perhaps have the seal replaced.

Here is the graphic, if you can glean something that I don't see..

OK, thanks for the hint. Anyway there were no LL last night, may be because I slightly retensioned the left strap which had a little more slack than the right one.

I enclose today's report again, with maximum zoom on the Flow rate graph, showing 5 secs spans. I don't know how to interpret it in reference to the Large Leaks and possible hidden AHI's , if any. For one thing, I see no additional AHI events under the LL sections or anywhere in the event flag graph, even with max zoom. . Does this mean that there are no hidden AHI's ? Where would these hidden AHI's show at max Zoom level, if any?

Regarding the LL issue, I conducted a retroactive search since I began the therapy in June 2020. It appears that these LL started cropping in mid June 2021, intermittently at first and then picking up in number and duration. I never tried other masks, but I can only breathe through the mouth, due to a almost permanently blocked nose and polyps on the throat., so I cannot use either pillows or the other masks you suggested. My doctor knows that I cannot breathe through the nose, but the therapy has been so far successful, unless the large leaks issue has a negative bearing if it continues. I'll see how it goes with the liners. If worse comes to worse, I'll have to replace the silicon seal.
