Many years after the big bang I was born and here I am.

I have chronic pain, there is CBD oil with THC and CBD oil without THC, I used the without THC version. At first I thought it helped me sleep, but I ran out and I have not purchased any since the lockdown. I am still sleeping fine, I don't think it works. I can recommend Melatonin which I think works great.
I replace the cushions/pillow when they start to fail, as you said "the flapping in the wind" or when I don't get a good nights rest for two days in a row. The sleep center/insurance recommends replacing the cushions every two weeks, I can usually go three weeks. I switch between a nasal pillow and a nostril mask, the cushions tend to last about three weeks for me for both types of masks.
I think the daily cleaning routine stretches the cushion more than wearing it each night.
The mask itself would probably last longer, the head gear tends to stretch and get very loose by three months so I do replace the mask every three months just for the headgear.
I tried two different brands of CBD oil to help with my chronic pain. At first I thought it helped me sleep better but I am not 100% convinced it actually works. One of my doctors told me if it works for me continue to use it.
Have you tried melatonin? The human body produces melatonin, it is a hormone that regulates the sleep–wake cycle. Melatonin is available over the counter in the USA. The nights I do use it I sleep very well and my AHI is usually 0.0 when I wake up.
I use Walgreen's brand 5mg which are chewable cherry flavored. (you are suppose to chew them)
The machine has internal storage as well as the external SD card, it will save your data.
I believe that the internal storage is seven days worth of complete detailed data, thirty days worth of summery data, and 365 days worth of basic information. Replace the SD card as soon as possible but the machine will save the data internally. The Resmed machine stores all the data on-line so your doctor has access to it.
You will not lose any data.
Insurance companies prefer the home sleep studies, the sleep lab would love to have you take the sleep study with them.
You might want to try a chin strap to keep the mouth shut. My CPAP supplier will send it, you might need a prescription for insurance to cover it. Every once and a while I have a problem with dry open mouth so I will use the chin strap. I have a beard as well. With the beard, the mask and the chin strap there is a lot on your face and it might take a little getting used to.
Thank you, I was beginning to think that starting therapy counted as one on/off.
There was one night I had an unusual amount of on/offs and couldn't figure out why.
a loud foghorn sound wakes me up.
I noticed when my ResMed machine will make a strange "howling" air leak type of sound the water chamber is not seated in the unit correctly. I shut the machine off, take out and reinsert the water chamber and everything works after that.
The flatulence sound from the mask is a good sign it is time to change the cushion, this makes noise but the feeling of the cushion flapping against the skin is worse.
One has nothing from like 12:30-3:30, what could cause this?
I had this happen before, the only thing I could think of was a power failure, I have no idea why it would be turned off for such a long period. A user will see small breaks if they get up to go to the bathroom and turn the machine off. ResMed machines have an auto start feature, as long as the user is wearing the mask the machine is operating. If the power goes out and comes back on it will restart.
If you use MyAir or not is irrelevant to the question, I would like to know what "Mask On/Off" means.
